
Matthew Kimble comes from Bedford and trained at the GSMD for his BMus (hons). Roles performed include the title role in Albert Herring for Opera de Bauge where he was awarded the Gil Rodriguez scholarship, Tamino (Die Zauberflötte), Don José (Carmen), Orpheus (Orpheus in the Underworld) Pinkerton (Madama Butterfly), Remendado (Carmen), Malcolm (Macbeth) and Dr. Blind (Die Fledermaus). He has performed the role of Rodolfo (La Boheme) several times, including in the critically acclaimed productionfor Trafalgar Studios 2, which was nominated for the ‘Best New Opera’ award at the 2018 Olivier Awards. For Scottish Opera he has performed the role of Parpignol (La Boheme), Stanislaus, 1st Inquisitor, Alchemist (Candide) and covered several other roles. He has worked with many companies and festivals including Opera Holland Park, Aldeburgh Festival, Bregenze Festspiele, Opera Bohemia, and Grange Park Opera. he is currently rt Deanrson. On the concert platform he has performed works by Verdi, Mozart, Orff, Strauss, Bach, and many others.
