The Mahler Players present two gala performances of the second Act from Wagner’s searingly intense opera Tristan und Isolde. Joining us are five soloists of world-renown, including one of the world’s most legendary basses, Sir John Tomlinson, singing a role for which he has provided the benchmark for decades: King Marke. This is a new chamber orchestra version for 36 players by Matthew King and Peter Longworth.
An unprecedented opportunity for audiences in the Highlands, these performances in Inverness Cathedral and Strathpeffer Pavilion promise to be unmissable.
