As the first project in our Tenth Anniversary year, the Mahler Players, conducted by Tomas Leakey, return to Beethoven with his Eroica Symphony: a work which changed the course of musical history and remains to this day one of the most thrilling pieces of music ever written.
Making her Scottish debut here in the Highlands, the orchestra will accompany the internationally acclaimed dramatic soprano Magdalena Anna Hofmann in arias from Wagner’s Tannhäuser and Beethoven’s Fidelio. Her recent appearances include the Foreign Princess in Rusalka (Semperoper Dresden), Isolde in Tristan und Isolde (Wiesbaden) and the Marschallin in Der Rosenkavalier (Salzburg).
Join us over the Coronation Weekend for a concert to remember!
